Character Counts

Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship

Across the disciplines, teachers at Taft incorporate Character Counts! The Six Pillars of Character

Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship

form the foundation for the development of sound character.

During the year, students will have the opportunity to participate in activities which focus on the Six Pillars. The curriculum and school-wide activities at Taft provide students with opportunities to take Character Counts a step further for the benefit of our school and community.
At Taft, our interest is in helping students achieve success through productivity, concern for others, leadership, principled reasoning, and ethical decision-making.

Strengthening the character of the next generation is an important pursuit at Taft, and we are proud to say that at our
school and in our community, character really counts!
